Skills for Life

Our Group was founded in 2007 to give greater access to the young people of Elvetham Heath to the huge range of fantastic activities available through Scouting…

Welcome to 100th Elvetham Heath

Indoor activities are held in our own Headquarters which has large playing fields immediately outside and Elvetham Heath Nature Reserve just a few minutes walk away. We also enjoy outdoor activities at Fleet Pond and Caesar’s Camp, each a short drive away.

Each of our sections have been given a name, taking inspiration from the aircraft built by the celebrated aircraft designer and engineer Sir Geoffrey de Havilland who lived near Fleet and developed his early machines in the local area.

The sections are:

Leopard Moth (Mon) and Tiger Moth (Thu) Beaver Colonies
Mosquito (Mon), Trident (Thu), and Hornet (Fri) Cub Packs
Meteor (Mon) and Typhoon (Thu) Scout Troops

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
